TUMBLR.. I’m reaching out to you for help. My 12 week old pup harvey has endured a string of very bad luck over the past couple of weeks. First he was sent to the emergency vet because he got his eye scratched while I was visiting my folks house. That led the doctor’s to find a heart murmur. After going to a cardiologist and having some very expensive tests done, he was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Dysplasia, which is a congenital heart disease that will require lifelong attention and medication. Less than a week later of almost $1,000 of medical bills, Harvey started getting sick. After some observation, I took him to his primary care vet. They detected a foreign object in his intestines and sent me to the same specialist that diagnosed his heart disease. He is currently awaiting surgery that will cost me $2,500.
I have grown up with animals. I love them dearly. I am doing everything in my power to be a good parent, but as you can imagine this as been a pretty devastating financial blow. I have never heard of such a string of unlucky events for an animal in such a short period of time. You try to be prepared for anything- but when it all comes at once.. how can you ever be prepared.

I’m reaching out to all the amazing people out there who know what it’s like to have a pet, or child, and know what it’s like to give every penny you have to keep them healthy.
